Living cell powered by software – Reverse Engineering the Genetic Engineering

Computing has made it possible to create a synthetic living cell. Researchers at J Craig Venter Institute were successfully able to transplant genetic software to the host cell which would then grow naturally but will behave as dictated by the artificial DNA.
