Denmark’s present state of existence has the history of 400 years with many relinquishments of lands and lost battles. The country’s climate is extremely cold and the people are the real definition for the drunkards. The neighbors, Norwegians are richer and Swedes are healthier. The most famous Danish prince, Hamlet is often quoted to be the most unhappiest person on the earth to date. Contrasting to these geographic and historical references, Denmark is the most happiest place on earth and hence goes Danes are the most happiest people on earth.

The reason lies in the mindset of the Danes. Their philosophy of life is different for the good and sets as a paradigm for the rest of the world.

“Expectations are the root cause for all the miseries.”

Danes have understood that better and seamlessly executed that in their daily life. Majority of Danes do not have great expectations and they take their life as it comes rather than getting into manipulations. Their basic approach towards life is more optimistic. When the things go wrong, instead of being embarrassed, a typical Dane would rather be happy for the things did not get as bad as expected.

No wonder, the country has least or almost no corruption. Well, that is justified enough because people don’t have to be corrupt for getting anything as they get what ever they need by spending almost nothing. They basically do not know how to spend their money as they don’t have to in many situations because the basic education including university studies is free, medical expenses including complicated surgeries are free. They would obviously pay for their groceries and utilities which are pretty inexpensive in the country. So, what is that they need huge money for ??. They are very satisfied in their work culture also. I have read some where that Danish people get great employment benefits including medical insurances and they get to spend at least seven to eight weeks of paid vacations every year. Interestingly, they voluntarily pay huge taxes of about 60-70% of their earned income. It’s quite logical as they don’t need to pile up their money for their government takes good care of them. When they get all that they need for less or almost no money being spent, obviously people would be satisfied. There would not be any stampede for money and the corruption ceases to exist. One of my friend who stayed in Denmark told that the Danish policemen would spend most of the time on their vacations as they don’t have anything serious to do in the society for the people have no grievances to complain about.

A country like Denmark sets a good exemplary reference for reaching up to for many countries where corruption got deeply imprinted into the DNA of the people.

Below video gives you a good idea about the mindset of a typical Danish.

Denmark is the least corrupted nation while India lies on the opposite spectrum. Unfortunately it ends up in the “highest corrupted” list.

So, In what way is India different from Denmark ?? –

A typical Indian has no faith or confidence in their politicians. A majority of them use their voting right just for the sake of using it. They get bribed and who ever gives more bribe, they get sold for them. Some others think that if even if they pay correct taxes, that would only benefit politicians and in no way people get benefitted. The chameleons change colors for their own sustenance while the politicians change colors to leave no chance for the people’s sustenance. Even the chameleons feel deeply ashamed and insulted for their name is being used along with politicians. The government in Denmark is an amalgamation of democracy and monarchy. Politicians are elected by the people while they are not vested complete powers. While India is a complete democracy, it need a great deal of change to be something like Denmark.

So, Can India be another Denmark ??..

Unfortunately, the answer for such a question would only be a “conditional YES” rather than a more “confident YES” because such a major positive impact would result from a great deal of change in the society and more from the mindset of people and even more specifically from the mindset of the politicians who shamelessly eat away a lion’s share from the generated revenue.

If you are bored of your keyboard input to your smart phone, here is some interesting news !!. Android-fueled smart phones now get a new Gesture Search app which lets us draw letters on the touch screen instead of regular keyboard typing. It lets you quickly find your contact, bookmark, application or any music track from hundreds or thousands of items on your phone.

Below screen shot shows you the functionality of Gesture Search. By drawing a letter ‘h’ on your touch screen pulls up items with ‘H’.

iPad finally arrived !!.. I personally feel its the first Apple product which doesn’t deserve all that hype and much attention.

How much ever people use smart phones today, I am sure they won’t throw their conventional laptop computers into the gutter. That’s because, there are lot of things a smartphone cannot do and similarly there are lot of things that a laptop cannot do. Hence smartphones and laptops are two things that do not jeopardize the existence of each other. If iPad has to be a perfect bridge between a smartphone and a conventional laptop, it should completely fade away the need to carry our laptops.

Can we manage our daily routine with iPad dumping our laptops into the gutter ??.

How about video conferencing and web meeting ??.. (Asking a camera for such a device would be foolish. But it still can have a basic webcam)

How best can the Safari browser present the Rich Internet Applications without having basic Flash Player support ??.. (Adobe came forward to offer Flash support for iPhone. I have no clue why Apple rejected that offer when it’s for their good in view of enhanced mobile browsing experience. IPad also has no Flash support)

What if we want to read some news online while instant messaging with our friends ?? (No Multitasking)

What if we want to do some programming or Can this device be our development machine ??

If iPad cannot answer any of the above issues, What is the use of having such a device which cannot completely free us from conventional laptops ?? It’s simply extra luggage to have.

With No Webcam, No Multitasking, No Flash, No USB port, No SD Card,.. It’s simply an enlarged iPhone !!!.

A Netbook is far more promising device which is a perfect bridge between a smartphone and conventional laptop !! (It relieves us from the need to carry laptops and with various location based services including GPS, it can do most of the things that a smartphone does)

Anyways, I hope iPad 2.0 which might come in future won’t be a technological flaw.

I always wonder why smart phones aren’t smart in terms of their built in battery. Today, while browsing over Internet I found this really smart accessory called Smart Cover. It’s main purpose is to provide external battery for iPhone. But the smart thing about it is that it can be charged with solar power while being able to charge up using a regular USB cable.

I personally feel this great gadget can come to my rescue as I always run out of battery when using iPhone outside and can easily get into a worst situation when I don’t find an electric power outlet. It supports internet usage of up to 13.5 hours on 3G and up to 11 hours on WiFi.

Pranav Mistry, an MIT Grad student and his advisor Pattie Maes from MIT Media Lab have presented something called Sixth Sense Technology at TED 2009. No wonder he is from IIT Bombay.

With this technology, the physical world around us can be augmented with the digital data which will let us interact with that information using simple natural hand gestures.

Check this video for the demonstration.

And as we know something which is open-source will be ever developing, Pranav is making his work open source so that way, he can give chance to anybody in the world to extend and enhance this technology.

Adobe makes a debut in the iPhone App Store with its brand new Photoshop.com Mobile App and the good news is that it is offered for free.

Though the Photoshop.com Mobile App has not all the great features of the actual desktop version of Photoshop, it is certainly good in its own way by offering minimal features for any mobile user to get start right away. But this is just a start and we can expect a lot more because the Photoshop brand certainly rocks as everyone knows.
